OUR MISSION
BRBVA entered into a cooperative agreement with BREC in October 2011, immediately broke ground on a $5 million dollar Team Automotive Group Sportsplex, and opened its doors in July of 2012. The facility incorporates multiple competitive indoor courts that can be used for a variety of activities.
BRBVA has three over-arching goals for the facility:
Director Biographies
Executive Director
Jonathan Pixley is the Executive Director at Team Sportsplex, with his focus being on helping the facility run as efficiently and effectively as possible on a daily basis.. He was named the Director of Basketball when the gym opened in 2012, and has recently transitioned into the executive director role. He also trains college and professional basketball players at the facility.
Coach Pixley graduated from Catholic High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1992. He was an all-district, all-metro, & all-state basketball player and was inducted into the Grizzly Greats (Catholic High’s athletic hall of fame) in 2016. He earned a Division I scholarship to Samford University in Birmingham, AL, where he was a 3-time All-Conference performer and graduated holding several school and conference records. After a career-ending knee injury in the NBA Summer League after his senior year, Pixley moved back to Baton Rouge. Pixley was the head basketball coach at The Dunham School in Baton Rouge from 2001-2021, amassing over 450 career wins, 8 district titles, and 8 District Coach of the Year awards. His teams played in 5 consecutive state title games from 2017-2021, winning 3 state championships over that time. He was also named the Louisiana 2A State Coach of the Year in 2021, his last as a head coach.
Donna Pixley is the Director of Volleyball at Team Sportsplex, where she has also served as the Director of Operations for several years. She is in charge of directing all volleyball programming including camps, clinics, private & group lessons, etc. as well as serving as the Club Director of Red Storm Volleyball. Without question, Donna is one of the most influential figures in the history of Louisiana volleyball.
Originally from Tampa, Florida where she was a volleyball and basketball standout at Tampa Preparatory School, Donna played at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and was a 4-year starter as a setter. With over 4,000 career assists, she graduated as the school’s all-time leader in assists. At Samford she was named to the All-Academic All-Conference team 3 times and was a member of several national honor societies.
Prior to joining Team Sportsplex full-time in May 2015, Coach Pixley served as the Athletic Director for 4 years at The Dunham School, where she also served as the head volleyball coach for 21 seasons. She led her 2004 team to a state runner-up finish and her 2005 team to the state championship, both in Division V. Her 2022 team also won the Division III state title, setting a school record for victories while playing the toughest schedule in the state. All of her teams qualified for the state playoffs during her tenure at Dunham. She was named District Coach of the Year 6 times, Metro Coach of the Year twice, State Coach of the Year twice, and was also privileged to coach the West All-Star team in the summers of 2006 and 2022. She has most recently been named the head volleyball coach at St. Joseph’s Academy, where she will enter her first season in August 2025.
Donna has also been actively involved in club volleyball in Louisiana since 1998. In 2002, she was the head coach of a 15 & under team that won a USAV National Championship for Volleyball Baton Rouge. She is one of 3 coaches in the history of Louisiana to win both state and national titles. In 2004, Coach Pixley started Red Storm Volleyball with only one team. Last season the club had 21 teams and is proud to use Team Sportsplex for practices and tournament play. In the spring of 2019, her 18u team finished 5th nationally. In 2022, Red Storm Volleyball experienced its most successful season to date, with 7 teams finishing in the top 10 nationally in the club division.
Chase Stanley is the Director of Basketball at Team Sportsplex. He directs all basketball programming as well as assisting Jonathan Pixley with daily operations. Prior to being named the Director of Basketball in 2023, Chase was involved in fundraising efforts for the Baton Rouge Basketball and Volleyball Association along with assisting in all basketball programming offered at the facility.
Chase is also the Director of Red Storm Basketball, an AAU travel basketball organization originally founded by Jonathan Pixley in 2005. Since restarting the program again in 2018, Red Storm has grown from 4 teams in 5th-8th grades, to 11 teams between 4th-11th grades in 2025.
Chase was an all-district, all-metro, and all-state performer at University Laboratory School in Baton Rouge. While at University Laboratory School, Chase led the state in scoring his senior year averaging 27.3 points/game, including a school record 47 points versus 6A Allatoona High School out of Georgia. After high school, Chase signed a Division I basketball scholarship to Southern University in Baton Rouge to play under first year Coach Roman Banks. He eventually hung up his shoes when he began working with Jonathan and Donna Pixley to help run the Team Sportsplex when it opened in August 2012.
