Director of Facility Operations | Director of Volleyball
Donna Pixley is the Director of Operations at Team Sportsplex. She is also the Director of Volleyball, directing all volleyball programming including camps, clinics, private & group lessons, etc. as well as serving as the Club Director of Red Storm Volleyball. Without question, Donna is one of the most influential figures in youth volleyball in Louisiana. Prior to joining Team Sportsplex full-time in May 2015, Donna served as the Athletic Director for 4 years at The Dunham School where she is also entering her 21st season as the head volleyball coach. As the head coach, she led her 2004 team to a State Runner-Up finish and her 2005 team to a State Championship, both in Division V. All of her teams have qualified for the state playoffs during her tenure at Dunham. She has been named District Coach of the Year 6 times, Metro Coach of the Year once and Division V State Coach of the Year once. Donna was also privileged to coach the West All-Star team in the summer of 2006.
She has also been actively involved in club volleyball in Louisiana since 1998. In 2002, she was the head coach of a 15 & under team that won a USAV National Championship for Volleyball Baton Rouge. She is one of 3 coaches in the history of Louisiana to win both a state and national title. In 2004, Donna started Red Storm Volleyball with only one team. Today the club has 16 teams and is proud to call Team Sportsplex home. In the spring of 2019, her 18u team finished 5th nationally. In 2021, Red Storm Volleyball experienced its most successful season to date, with 8 teams finishing in the top 30 nationally in the club division. Donna played at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and was a 4-year starter as a setter. With over 4,000 career assists, she graduated as the school’s all-time leader in assists. At Samford she was named to the All-Academic All-Conference team 3 times and was a member of several national honor societies.
Director of Basketball
Jonathan Pixley is the Director of Basketball at Team Sportsplex. He was an all-district, all-metro, and all-state performer at Catholic High School in Baton Rouge. After high school. Coach Pixley played at Samford University under former LSU Head Coach John Brady. During his time at Samford he was named to the All-Freshman team as well as being a 3-time All-Conference (twice 1st team) selection. Pixley was also named to the NABC Regional All-American team during his senior season and was the first player in Samford history to play on 4 winning teams. He finished his collegiate career as the Trans America Athletic Conference’s (now called the Atlantic Sun) all-time leader in 3-point field goals made. Coach Pixley also graduated ranking 6th in conference history in scoring and 3rd in free throw percentage. While trying to join the professional ranks, Pixley sustained a career-ending knee injury while playing in the FILA Summer Pro League in Los Angeles, Ca. the summer after his senior year in college. Prior to his knee injury, he worked out for the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA.
Coach Pixley recently stepped away from his position as head coach at the Dunham School in Baton Rouge. His 2008-2009 team set a school record with 33 victories (33-4 record). Pixley accumulated over 450 wins during his coaching career, and was named the District Coach of the Year 5 times. He was also named the 2A State Coach of the Year in 2021. His teams played in the state title game for 5 consecutive seasons from 2017-2021, winning state championships in 2018, 2020, & 2021. Pixley was also the girls’ head coach for 2 years, leading the program to its first playoff victory in a decade in 2005. He was also the director of Red Storm AAU Basketball for over a decade, and helped numerous players achieve their dreams of playing at the collegiate level. In 2017, Pixley was also inducted into the Grizzly Greats (Catholic High School’s athletic hall of fame) for his accomplishments as a player and coach in the community.
Director Of Development | Assistant Director of Basketball
Chase Stanley is the Director of Development at Team Sportsplex. He handles all fundraising and advertising needs for the Baton Rouge Basketball and Volleyball Association. He is also heavily involved in basketball programming, directing the Team Sportsplex Winter League for the past 8 years. In partnership with Lighthouse Community Care, Chase also heads our Send a Kid to Camp Fund, which raises funds to allow youth of all backgrounds the opportunity to attend programming at Team Sportsplex. Chase also assists Donna Pixley in daily operations, as well as being involved in directing all basketball programming at Team Sportsplex.
Chase was an all-district, all-metro, and all-state performer at University Laboratory School in Baton Rouge. While at University Laboratory School, Chase led the state in scoring his senior year averaging 27.3 points/game, including a school record 47 points versus 6A Allatoona High School out of Georgia. After high school, Chase signed a Division 1 basketball scholarship to Southern University in Baton Rouge to play under first year Coach Roman Banks. He eventually hung up his shoes when he began working with Jonathan and Donna Pixley to help run the Team Automotive Group Sportsplex when it opened in August 2012.
Assistant Director of Volleyball
Holly Tupper is entering her second season as assistant director of Red Storm volleyball. This past club season, she was the head coach of the 13’s and 16’s National teams. Both teams finished in the top 30 nationally in the club division. In 2020, her Red Storm 15’s National team finished the season ranked 9th nationally. She rejoined the Red Storm family after serving as the assistant coach for Gardner-Webb University in 2018. Prior to Gardner-Webb, Holly spent the previous two seasons at Mississippi College, where she was a graduate assistant for the 2016 season before being named the interim head coach in October 2017 as one of the youngest head coaches in the NCAA.
Tupper was also a standout player at Mississippi College, where she ranks among the career leaders in program history. She stands as the career leader in digs with 1,825 and is sixth all-time in service aces with 78, and also had four of the top-six single season digs marks in team history. Tupper earned All-Southwest Conference honorable mention honors on three occasions during her playing career and was also a standout in the classroom, being named to the conference honor roll three times, as well as NCCAA Volleyball Scholar-Athlete Team honors her senior season.
Tupper earned her Masters of Applied Exercise Physiology from Mississippi College in May 2018, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Pre-Physical Therapy) with honors in May 2015. Holly is originally from Baton Rouge, La. where she graduated from The Dunham School. She was a decorated multi-sport athlete. She played for Red Storm Volleyball under the leadership of Donna Pixley.
